Alice M. (Margie) Gerry

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Alice M. “Margie” Gerry, 89, died December 11, 2023.

Born in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, she was also a lifetime resident. Margie was an artist, who enjoyed drawing, painting, and other artwork. She especially loved painting pets and nature scenes. She was thrilled when she was able to open her small art studio, “The Art Station.” She was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Cuyahoga Falls. Margie enjoyed traveling across the U.S. with her late husband, Jim, in addition to boating on Lake Erie, and staying at their cabin on Kelley’s Island.

Margie was loved by all who knew her. She was an extraordinarily sweet and selfless person, always smiling and giving, with never a harsh word to anyone. If you met her, you would love her.

We are grateful to the caregivers at the Gables of Green and Traditions Health Hospice, many who said they loved having her in their care and that she was cheerful and sweet until the very end.

Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James V. Gerry, she is survived by sisters-in-law, Lois Maust, Betty Gerry, and Karen Gerry; brother-in-law, Chuck Gerry, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Pastor William Kremer will conduct service 12:30 PM, Monday, December 18, 2023, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call from 11 AM to service time. Burial Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Peninsula.
