Alma Jean (Jeanie) Gibson

STOW - Alma Jean (Jeanie) Gibson, 78, went home to be with the Lord on August 21, 2024.

Born in Hunt, WV, she has been a resident of Stow since 2007.  Alma had been employed with Kaiser-Gibson Realty as a realtor, retiring in 1999. During the time she was a realtor, she was also a Group Home Manager for the Society for Handicapped Citizens of Medina County - Seville, taking care of the mentally handicapped residents for ten years, then moved on to be a nurse’s aide taking care of the elderly.

Church has always been a part of her life. In later years, she was a member of Winter-Green Ledges Church of God and attended New Life Church in Stow. Alma’s hobbies were singing, dancing, and gardening, but her passion was taking care of her family. She raised her own children, nieces, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Regina Gibson, brother, Delmar Gibson, and sister Romaine Vance. She is survived by her husband, Larry Heller; children, Roger Richmond, and Regina Durst (Jeffrey); grandchildren, Amber Richmond, (Andrew), Emily Durst, and Christian Durst; great-grandchildren, Colton and Jordan, as well as her nieces, Rhonda Adkins, and Connie Vance (Craig Williams).

Pastor Kit Meade will conduct service 11 AM, Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call 4 - 7 PM, Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the funeral home.

Flowers are welcome, but in lieu of flowers, should friends desire, donations may be made to help the family with final expenses.
