Angie (Vlaho) Lenos, 88, of Kostarazi, Greece, passed away on 12 June 2024, in Dayton, Ohio.
Angie was born in Kostarazi, Greece, to Dimitrios and Evlambia Vlaho on 26 August 1935. She married Chris Lenos on 18 January 1959. Her greatest accomplishment was raising five children. She immigrated to Sandusky, Ohio, in 1973 and worked several jobs over the years. She was a proud member of the Greek Orthodox Church in every community in which she lived.
Angie will be lovingly remembered for many things, but one of the most well-known was her baklava!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris; her son, Steve; three brothers, and one sister.
Angie is survived by her children, Dimitrios, and his wife, Violeta, Anna, Ed, and Angelo. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stephanie and Stephen Leonardi, Shawnie Lenos, Phillip, Emily, and Tiana Lenos, Brad Lenos, Karla Duvall, Angela Schmidt, Elise and Dimitrios Lenos, and Alexa and CJ Lenos, as well as great-grandchildren, Kylee, Brianna, Eliana and Elijah.
Rev. Father Dean Kokanos will conduct the funeral service on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 3:00 PM, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union Street, Akron, Ohio 44304, where friends may call from 2 PM, until time of service. An open house will be held following the funeral service at a separate location.
Burial will be Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 10 AM, at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park, 2613 Sackett Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223.
