Anna A. Justice

September 30, 1932 — November 6, 2024

STOW - Anna Justice (Jarrett) (Sharp) ~ September 30, 1932 - November 6, 2024

Born during the Great Depression to a family of immigrants, her mother's family arrived at Ellis Island from the Netherlands.   The family moved from Michigan when the steel mills opened in Akron.   The youngest of five, Anna was the last of her family.

Preceded in death by parents, Anna and James Sharp; siblings, James, Gertrude, Lillian, Robert, and all their spouses.   Ann was widowed at 35 when her husband died, leaving her with two young children.  She worked as a waitress most of her life.  In 2000, she moved to Louisiana to be near her son and his family.  Feeling bored, she took a job selling gasoline and snacks at the marina near where she lived.   Ann moved back to Ohio in 2022, when her health became more of an issue.  Ironically, she moved into a small house on the same road she had lived on for years.  She kept active even though she was in her 90s, working puzzles, crocheting, and visiting the casino.

She is survived by her son, Michael Jarrett (Kim); daughter Marty Simpkins; grandchildren, Michael (Lea) Simpkins, Scott (Jen) Simpkins, and Christopher (Rachel) Jarrett; great-grandchildren, Delanie, Bobby, Blake, Riehle, Lexie, and Colby, as well as  numerous nieces, nephews, and her precious cat, Beau.

Ann was vehemently against funerals, so we accepted her wishes and there will be no funeral or calling hours.
