STOW- Anna Porosky, 94, died October 5, 2012.
Born in Akron, she was a lifetime area resident, graduated from South High School and lived in Stow since 1955. Mrs. Porosky enjoyed quilting, needlework and gardening. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls.
Preceded in death by her husband John (Jack) and her son David, she is survived by her daughter Kathleen (James) Bachtel of Dover, FL; sons George (Barbara) of Stow and Ronald (Janet) of New Franklin; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Anna will also be missed by her "tablemate friends" at Stow-Glen, Alice, Gwen and Rose.
Rev. Katherine Osier will conduct funeral service Monday 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends are invited for visitation from 10 AM until service time. Burial Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 70 W. Streetsboro St., Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236 or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 615 Rockside Road, Suite 202, Independence, OH 44131.
