Born in Akron, resident of Stow from 1963 to 1985.  Tony, had been employed with the Kroger Company. To quote Billy Joel; “Anthony worked in the grocery store”, was an understatement. It was his second job out of high school, until he retired in 2001, 42 yrs. later.  He started as a bag boy and worked his way up as a top manager.

Tony held many titles in lifetime; son, brother, father, friend, boss, and mentor. He was a member of Holy Family Church and The Knights of Columbus until he was transferred.  He moved his wife, and the younger 3 children to Lilburn, Ga., until his move back north to Aurora, OH in 2017. Tony enjoyed football, baseball, golf, bocce, music, reading and he became a wine enthusiast to better help his customers. This later served him when he and his wife, Ann, moved to an over 50 community in Ga.  Tony became part of the Welcome Committee and started a, “Welcome Wine Night”. He was a funny guy with a big heart.  Giving back to the schools, and volunteering often.

Preceded in death by his wife, Ann (Wheeler) Didato, Father, Anthony Didato Sr, Mother, Mary (Calcagno) Didato and son-in-law, William Howard Alston, Jr.  He is survived by his daughter, Julie Didato Alston, (Joseph & Rob Alston) sons, Joseph Didato, (Jack & Nick Didato) James Didato, (Nickolas Creedon) Connie (Michael) Johnson, (Rachel, Ryan and Riley) James Frackelton, and Anthony Didato III.
