Audra F. Shallenberger (Patterson)

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Audra F. Shallenberger, (Patterson), 89, went to be with her Savior on August 17th, 2022.

Born in Akron, Ohio, on July 10, 1933, to Clyde and Amma Patterson, she was a lifetime area resident having lived in Stow since 1971, prior to moving to Cuyahoga Falls. Audra was a product of the Akron Public Schools, and graduated from Wheaton College with her Master's Degree. She returned to Akron and became a schoolteacher, where she retired in 1975, from Harris Elementary School, (Akron Public Schools), was a long-time member of The Chapel, as well as Falls Music Club, and AAOUW (Akron Association of Ohio Women). She loved to sing and would sing many hymns she learned as a child.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 1973; her parents; her brother, Clyde, and sister, Viola M. (Patterson) Englert. She is survived by her niece, Claudia Englert, and nephews, Paul and Timothy Englert.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sunrise of Cuyahoga Falls, Grand Living, and Kindred Hospice Care, for the special attention and care provided for Audra over the many years she has been in assisted living, as well as to Michael Kura, who was her guardian and orchestrated it all. You treated her as family, and she knew it.

Private burial was held at Rose Hill Burial Park.
