Barbara D. Gillette

October 16, 1925 — June 8, 2022

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Barbara D. Gillette, 96, was reunited with her true love on June 8, 2022.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, she was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls off and on for many years. Barbara worked many jobs to support her family and was able to retire from Lucernes in 1991. Her greatest loves were her family and her Jamaican heritage. Barbara loved having family get togethers, gardening, going for walks, sewing, holding babies, dancing, and telling stories of her childhood in Jamaica.

Preceded in death by husband, Ivan Gillette, and later companion, Earl Ford; sons, Christopher Burnett and Timothy Burnett; two brothers, and three sisters, she is survived by her daughters, Brenda Krean, Glenis Kilkenney, and Barbara Morris; fifteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Barbara has left a lasting legacy on this side of the sun. She will live on through the memories and lives of her family.

Pastor Dan Page will conduct service 7 PM Friday, June 24, 2022, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call Friday 4 PM to service time.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation , (www.garysinisefoundation.org), supporting American Veterans in need.
