Barbara Jean Swaebly

STOW - Barbara J. Swaebly, 90, died June 30, 2021.

Born in Orwell, Ohio to Jesse and Loretta (Yeager) Anderson, Barbara returned to Stow in 2016 after living in Delray Beach, Florida since 1997. She retired as office manager of the Akron office of the Operating Engineers Local 18 in 1987.

Barbara was a member of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed dancing, gardening, playing the piano, and spending time on the beach, but most of all, she was a loving mother who devoted her life to caring for her son, Jeffrey, for over 35 years.

Preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Swaebly; sister, Elizabeth Elwood; brothers, William and Gerald Anderson, she is survived by son, Gregory (Ruth) Swaebly; daughters, Deborah (Thomas) Selden, Patricia (William) Stewart; sisters Beverly Clinton, Donna Espey; grandchildren, Eric Swaebly, Joshua (Sarah) Stewart, Shawna (Lee) Prince, Jessica Livers; and SIX great-grandchildren.
