CUYAHOGA FALLS - Betty A. Meredith, (Mullenix), 92 passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021 at her home in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Betty was born on July 10, 1928 in Akron, Ohio to the late Thomas and Myrtle Mullenix. She graduated from Kenmore High School in 1946. Betty married Raymond Meredith in 1954. She moved back to Akron in 1973 following her divorce. She went to work for Summit County Health and Human Services in 1974, where she worked for over 20 years, retiring in 1996.
Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, George, Robert, James, Kenneth, and David Mullenix.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynne Meredith (Gregory Spiering), of California, and Janet Robinson (Gene) of Cuyahoga Falls; her grandchildren, Jeff Robinson (Lindsay), Michael Robinson, Emily Anderson (Corey), Madelaine Spiering, and Hannah Spiering; great-grandchildren, Ryder Robinson, Hunter and Logan Anderson, and her brother, Jerry Mullenix, of Texas.
A private burial was held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Betty is buried next to her parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Summit County, 7996 Darrow Road, Suite 30, Twinsburg, OH 44087, or Girl Scouts of North East Ohio, Attention: Fund Development Department, One Girl Scout Way, Macedonia, OH 44056.
