STOW - Dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, Bob S. Habyan, went home to the Lord on the morning of December 1, 2022. His family celebrates his home going on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service officiated by his son-in-law, Pastor Shaun McNea.
The love and traditions of Bob will never be forgotten and certainly will live in our hearts forever. We are grateful for the legacy and memories that will carry on in each of our lives. Bob’s fishing buddies will forever cherish the years of fishing trips and wonderful times.
Along with his fishing trips, Bob was known for his wonderful Bible studies which affected countless lives. His friends, family, and traditions were Bob’s world.
Nothing brought a bigger smile to his face than the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren; each one felt his love through his actions and tenderness. He and his wife made it a priority to raise a God-loving family. In recent years, his wife appreciated his creativity in the kitchen; he made an excellent chef and baker. His love expressed itself through his hands and actions. By trade, Bob was a professional bricklayer. His unique skill shined with every fireplace and home foundation he built. His interests were learning God's Word, hunting, fishing, euchre, and four-wheeler rides during cabin trips, baseball, as well as many sports, music of old-time hits, and Jeopardy. He loved the outdoors and appreciated the beauty of nature in God's creation: A glistening snowflake, watching the sunset, the beauty of a horse running, and the thrill of catching a fish, or throwing a ball.
As a man of faith, he looked forward to eternal life promised by Christ. Over the years, he loved serving Christ as a Board member, Trustee, Usher, Bible study leader, and member of Steels Corner Community Church.
Besides Christ, his greatest love was spending time with family and making cherished memories, especially with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Habyan; children; Hollie Catanese (Robert Catanese), James Habyan (Susan Habyan), and Stacie McNea (Shaun McNea); grandchildren, Kacey Canarecci (Tyler Canarecci), Alisha Habyan, Alexis Ritchie (Bryan Ritchie), James McNea, Hope McNea, Hannah McNea, and Joseph McNea, and brother, Bill Habyan (Claudia Habyan), as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and great friends.
After the service, guests may follow to the burial site at Holy Cross Cemetery; following that, the family is providing lunch hosted at Steels Corners Community Church, 3996 State Road, Cuyahoga Falls 44223.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Bob's honor to Steels Corners Community Church, 3996 State Road, Cuyahoga Falls 44223.
His body will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, but his soul and spirit will live eternally in Heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
