SILVER LAKE - Bob J. Hedrick, 89, passed away December 30, 2022. Born October 1, 1933, in Christian, WV, he was a Stow area resident for 53 years prior to moving to Silver Lake in 2019. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War Era, he was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association, the Darrow Street Grange, Stow Lodge #768 F & AM, and St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Bob retired from GM as a machinist in 1994 after 31 years' service. Preceded in death by his parents, Hulan and Pansy Hedrick, he is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Elaine (Ahrens); daughters, Donna (Todd) Montgomery, Denise (Rupe) Whisman, and Diane (Scot) Kruger; son, Dale (Teresa) Hedrick; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Audrey) and Hulan (Patricia) Hedrick, and brother-in-law, Donald (Carol) Ahrens. Pastor John Corsi will conduct a memorial service Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 3725 Kent Road, Stow 44224, where calling hours will be held from 10 AM until service time. Private military interment service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
