Carl Heinz Ohnmeiss

STOW - Carl Heinz Ohnmeiss, 89, passed away at home on April 13, 2025.

Born in Thompson, Ohio, Carl was a resident of Stow since 1969. Graduating from Ohio University in 1958, he was employed with Terex in the business office until 1987. He was a member of the German Family Society in Brimfield, Ohio, the Stow Men’s Garden Club, and St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Carl enjoyed blind birding, camping, hiking, listening to books on tape, wine making, business news, bowling, and listening to Cleveland baseball games.

Preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Frida Ohnmeiss, Carl was the beloved husband of Sharon Louise (Forringer) Ohnmeiss, for almost 58 years, and father of daughters, Amy (Andy) Bishop and Laura (Fouad) Azzam; devoted son, Fredric Ohnmeiss, and grandchildren, Emily, Clara, Christopher, and Alyssa.

Pastor John Corsi will conduct service Friday, April 18, 2025, at 2 PM, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 3725 Kent Road, Stow, OH 44224.
