Catharine Arena Rhoads (Nee Kerr)

TALLMADGE - Catharine Arena Rhoads, (nee Kerr), age 85 years old, passed away August 22, 2023, at home surrounded by her family, after battling a lengthy illness.

Catharine was born September 10, 1937, in Akron, Ohio.

She is survived by Alan, her loving husband of 66 years. Also surviving her are her daughter, Diana Rhoads, Akron; son, Richard, and grandsons, Jacob and Thomas Rhoads, of Woodstock, Georgia, and her brother, James Kerr (Tammy), of St Cloud, Florida.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Donnie and Mabel Kerr; brothers, Donald and Myron Kerr, and sisters, Charlene and Darlene Kerr.

Graduating from South High School, class of 1955, as an honor student, she worked at the M. O'Neil Company before settling in to her career as a homemaker.

Catharine always wanted to be a wife, mother, and homemaker. She loved her family and was proud of her Irish heritage. She was a wonderful cook, a fastidious housekeeper, and an exemplary wife, mother, and best friend.

Throughout her life, she inspired us with her wisdom, honesty, gentle spirit, strength of
character, and determination.

The family would like to give special thanks to her Harmony Cares caregivers.

Per her wishes, there will be no funeral services.
