Charles (Charlie) Alan Dorow

STOW - Charles (Charlie) Alan Dorow, age 77, passed away on August 14, 2023.

Beloved husband to the late Joan Dorow. Loving father of Denise (Gary) Warstler and Brett Dorow. Cherished grandfather of Andrew (Victoria) Warstler, Aaron Warstler, and Alyssa (Logan) Peacock. Great-grandfather of Norah Warstler, Lincoln Peacock, Dallas Warstler, and Wyatt Warstler.

Charlie was an active Teamsters Local #24 retiree. Charlie began his trucking career at Commercial Trucking, prior to the merger with Lovelace Trucking. Charlie finished his trucking career at Preston Trucking with 33 years of service.

Charlie was a member and past president of Mogadore Jaycees, a pioneer girls basketball coach for Junior Pro, and a member of the Lafayette chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR).

In retirement, Charlie was an OHSAA referee for basketball and volleyball while also volunteering his time at the Akron-Canton Food bank and Willard Food Pantry where he served as their Director of Operations.

He found joy in spending time with his family, collecting trains, golfing with friends, and taking his many trips to Disney.

Charlie was preceded in death by the love of his life, Joan, who he met Central High School (Class of 1964) and enjoyed 54 years of marriage.

Charles A. Dorow will lie in state for visitation on Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 1 - 3 PM, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224.
