Cheryl L. Christy-Maffei

STOW - Cheryl L. Christy-Maffei, 75, died July 27, 2022.

Born in Akron, she spent most of her life in Stow and had been employed as an inspector with ODOT prior to her retirement. Cheryl enjoyed painting, crafting and making jewelry, and while spending time in Florida with her husband, Cosmo, she was active in water aerobics and modeling dresses.

Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Fran Christy, and siblings, Darlene and Timmy, she is survived by her husband of 35 years, Cosmo Maffei; children, Troy (Alette) Stutzman, April (Matt) Stewart, Ron Stutzman, Erica, Dino, and Michael Maffei; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and brother, Thomas Christy.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, where friends may call from 5 PM until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ( stjude.org ).
