MOORESVILLE, NC - Claudia June Westover, 90, died January 10, 2024, surrounded by her family and ready to meet Jesus.
Born December 23, 1933, in Washington, PA. She was a graduate of Chartiers High School, class of 1951. After serving in the Air Force, she then became a longtime area resident of Akron until 2020 when she moved to Mooresville, NC.
Claudia was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. After she met her husband in the service, she became a stay-at-home mother and was a longtime active member of Riverside Alliance Church and later a member of Military Woman Across the Nation Northeast Ohio Women Veterans Unit 21. Not only did she love butterflies and anything blue, but she also loved Christmas and she had the decorations to prove it.
Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Veronica Crawford; husband, Wayne; her daughters, Veronica Burkadt and Janel Gaylord; sons, Ted and Robert; brothers, James Henry and Robert Crawford. She is survived by her daughters, Claudia and Evelyn (David) Butcher; many grand and great-grandchildren, and her sister, Evelyn Manolas.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, for visitation, Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 9 - 11 AM, followed by service at 11 AM. Burial Silver Springs Cemetery.
