Daisy Louise Hess

STOW - Daisy Louise Hess, 95, died July 29, 2024.

Daisy, originally from Valley Stream, NY, moved to Stow with her husband, Arthur, in 1995. She worked as a bookkeeper at Computer Instruments until retiring in 1985. A member of Holy Family Catholic Church, she served as a Life and Spirit Eucharistic minister.

Daisy enjoyed gardening and biking, completing the 5 Boro Bike Tour in New York several times, and was a member of the Akron Bike Club. Daisy loved adventure, traveling the U.S. and the world, including Germany, Ireland, and Australia. She was an avid photographer, capturing candid family moments as well as her favorite subjects: flowers and birds.

Preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Sylvia Besosa; husband, Arthur Hess; daughters, Valerie Hess and Karen Byrnes; brother, Bobby Besosa; and sister, Cookie Vogel. She is survived by her son, Wayne (JoAnn) Hess; son-in-law, Richard Byrnes; grandchildren, Michael (Nicole) Guido, Janine (Gerard) Crowley, Jonathan (Helena) Agee, Jennifer (Sean) Curry, Derek, Allison, Ryan Hess, and Chris Reed, as well as great-grandchildren, Christopher, Kayla, Sophia, and Alex.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, Tuesday, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224.
