Daniel T. Leonard

STOW- Daniel T. Leonard, 61, passed away August 26, 2010 from natural causes.

Dan was born on July 9, 1949 in Indiana, PA, to the late Harry and Tina Leonard. Dan was the younger of 2 siblings.

Dan graduated high school from Indiana Joint Area High School in 1967, and later served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War where he served 1 tour. After his discharge, he moved to California where he had part ownership of a local TV repair company named Newark TV. He also volunteered for several years at the Pythian Youth Camp for at risk inner city children. After retiring, he moved to Ohio and spent the remainder of his years traveling between Ohio and Texas enjoying his family.

Dan was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the National Rifle Association (NRA). He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and shooting. He had a great love for cooking which he gladly shared with everyone. He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, Harry; mother, Tina; and his son; Michael. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Paige Leonard, and granddaughter, Peyton of Katy, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Mark Harmon of Stow, OH; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Fr. Neil Crosby will conduct funeral service Friday 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 5 PM until service time. Cremation to follow.
