Dante Gambaccini

T ALLMADGE - Dante Gambaccini,96, entered eternal life suddenly on April 7, 2024.

He was a longtime resident of Tallmadge, Ohio, and was born on October 13, 1927, in Kent, Ohio, to Angelo and Fermina Gambaccini. He retired from B. W. Rogers Company after 41 years of service, and was a longtime member of Our Lady of Victory in Tallmadge and later, of St. Mary Parish in Hudson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Corrado (Celia), Serino (Dolores), and Mario (Pat); his sister, Sue Briers (Hube), and two nieces, Gloria Tronge and Mary Ann Ray.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosemary; his five children, Ann (Ken) Neal, Marjorie Piccirillo, James (DeAnna), John (Janice), and Mark (Rebecca) Gambaccini; his grandchildren, Justin (Emily) Gambaccini, Jordana (Jordan) Hoover, Jessica, Joseph, and Jack Gambaccini, Alex, Anthony, and Victoria Piccirillo, Nick Neal, Sarah Gambaccini, Dominic and Ava Gambaccini, and his great-grandchildren, Hazel Hoover and Adrienne Gambaccini. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

He was a loving and kind man who made friends easily and doted on his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He seldom missed his grandchildren’s sports activities, boy scouts, school activities, dance recitals, etc.  He was a great fan of Westerns, both books and movies. In his earlier years, he enjoyed taking his family on many camping trips. He loved books, was an avid reader, and liked to give books to others to enjoy. He will be greatly missed by all of his family.

Calling hours will be held 4 - 7 PM, Friday, April 19, 2024, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victory, 73 North Avenue, Tallmadge, at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, April 20, 2024, with Fr. Michael A. Matusz as celebrant. Burial Standing Rock Cemetery, Kent.
