CUYAHOGA FALLS - David George Mercer, 67, passed away March 28, 2025. Born in Akron, he was a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls. David was a 1976 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, and a U.S. Army veteran. David had been employed with the United States Postal Service, starting off as a letter carrier and working his way up to Postmaster, retiring in 2017. He was a member of Saint Joseph Parish. David was a loving husband and father who enjoyed golfing and craft beer and was a die-hard Ohio State football and Cleveland Sports fan. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Rhoda Mercer; sister, Sandy Hurley, and mother-in-law, Anne Marie Maite. David is survived by his wife, Denise Mercer; daughter, Lauren Mercer; son, Joey Mercer; sisters, Kathy (Ray) Weisel and Mary (Joe) Davis; brothers, Mike (Jenny) Mercer and Jimmy (Becky) Mercer; grand-dogs, Groot, Nahla, and Teddy, as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited for visitation at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at Saint Joseph Parish, 1761 Second Street, Cuyahoga Falls, 44221, on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 10 AM.
