Obituary of Delores Jean Jones
STOW - Delores "Jean" Jones, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed peacefully on September 18th, 2021 at the age of 81. She departed her earthly home for her Heavenly one while surrounded by all of her grandchildren.
Jean was born on June 26th, 1940, in Beach City, Ohio to parents, Anthony and Margaret Crano. She had a happy childhood growing up in Stow with her three sisters. Jean married her beloved husband, William "Joe" Jones, and together they raised four wonderful children. Jean was active in her church, The Chapel, and very involved in her Bible study group.
Throughout her life, Jean made a point to be an example of the hands and feet of the Lord. She invested in numerous family members as well as members of the community, using her generous heart to love others. Her authentic presence left an imprint on the hearts of many. All who knew her could attest to her love for cookies, dancing, and her cats.
Jean treasured her family more than anything, she nurtured personal relationships with her each of her family members.
She leaves a beautiful testimony of a life well lived; one of grace, resilience, kindness, and devotion to her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Jean is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Anthony and Margaret, her husband Joe, sister Mary Campbell, daughter, Patty Sue Jones, and her son, William "Joey" Jones.
She is survived by her sisters, Ruth Riter and Patti Rounds; children, Denise (Chris) Blevins, Michael (Cathy) Jones; grandchildren, Erica (Kevin) Bauer, Morgan (Tyler) Eischen, Mandy (Jake) Thomas, Hayley (Mike) Kehres, Michael (Hannah) Jones, and Emilee Jones; six great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
We invite friends and family to call on Thursday, September 23rd from 4 to 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home in Stow. Funeral officiated by Pastor Bob Pelfrey on Friday, September 24th at 10 AM at the Memorial Chapel in Akron, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, OH 44304.
