Denise (Boville) Moser

February 28, 1962 — October 3, 2022

SILVER LAKE - Denise (Boville) Moser, 60, died October 3, 2022.

Raised in Akron, Denise graduated with a degree in Nursing from the University of Akron and later a master’s degree from Kent State University to become a nurse practitioner. She worked for the Akron General Medical Clinic, Visiting Nurse Service, and most recently, Summa Health Systems where she was widely respected by her colleagues for her dedication to her patients. In 2007, Denise was the lead author on a research paper published in the peer-reviewed journal Nursing Economics.

She was a resident of Silver Lake since 2016 and a member of Christ Community Chapel, Hudson Campus.

Denise was an avid life-long reader and greatly enjoyed crocheting. She was also a dedicated gamer, from paper-based role-playing games early on to multiplayer online games, particularly World of Warcraft, where she was part of an enthusiastic virtual community - and some of the friends she made there became friends in the non-virtual world as well.

In 2017, she married the love of her life, Phil Moser, and never hesitated to express to others her joy at having met him and at making him such an integral part of her life. “I’m so lucky!” she would say in good times and in bad in her unwavering faith in their marriage and her giddy passion for her husband.

She was the funnest of aunts, and her out-of-town nieces prized sleepovers at her house when they visited, and her nearby niece and nephew would watch and sing along to the Green Anaconda video on YouTube with her so many times. She was the strongest of sisters, growing up with three brothers, holding her own and then some. She was the most understanding of pet owners, connecting with the animals she cared for on a deep level well beyond ownership. And she was the most devoted of daughters, a relationship, especially to her mother, that more than anything else was about a love special to mothers and daughters.

Denise died far too early and will be greatly missed by so many.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Boville, Sr., and she is survived by her husband of five years, Phillip Moser; mother, Leila Boville; wife of Lawrence Boville, Sr., Nancy Boville; brothers, Larry (Tammy) Boville, Jr., Kevin Boville, and Darin (Lori) Boville; nieces, Elizabeth, Alexandra, and Catalina; nephew, Benjamin; dog, Yeti; and cats, Aria, Katie, Creature, and Stella.

Pastor Jim Colledge will conduct the service at 11 AM Wednesday at Christ Community Chapel, Hudson Campus, 750 W. Streetsboro Street, Hudson, Ohio, 44236. Friends may call 4 PM to 7 PM Tuesday at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, Ohio, 44224.
