HOMOSASSA, FLORIDA - Dewey Duane Ingram, age 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Sunday, June 30, 2024. He was born on October 31, 1935, in Conneaut, Ohio, as the last of twelve children of James Edgar and Ida Franklin- Ingram. He is preceded in death by wife, Gail, who passed in 1996. He is survived by his current wife, Linn, of 27 years. They lived in Homosassa, Florida for the last 22 years. He is also survived by children; Debi (Charles) Redmon of Kent, Ohio, Ken (Melanie) Ingram of Stow, Ohio, James Ingram of Akron, Ohio, Jerry Ingram of Kent, Ohio, Karen (Dwight) Ickes of Uniontown, Ohio, and Steven (Deanna) Ingram of Barberton, Ohio; grandchildren, Kevin, Sarah, Katrina, Brendan, Mike, Amber, Heather, Kylie, KateLyn, Dakota and Emily. There are also 22 great-grandchildren, and many relatives in Conneaut, Ohio and Ashtabula County. Dewey never met a stranger and made many cherished friends. Before moving to Florida, he was a church elder and deacon at Hudson Community Chapel, in Ohio. He lived his life based on his relationship with Jesus Christ and made that an integral part of his business practices as a successful Nationwide Insurance agent in Stow, Ohio for over 40+ years. Dewey proudly served his country during the Korean War years aboard the U.S.S. Roanoke in the Mediterranean Sea as a signalman. Funeral services will be held by Pastor Sherman Bailey, on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 12:45 PM, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, OH 44273, with military honors. Afterwards, friends and family may gather for a time of fellowship at Chapel of Prayer Baptist Church, 1811 Brittain Road, Akron, Ohio 44310, for a light lunch.
