YOUNGSTOWN - Donald "Don" Anderson Jones, 89, died October 11, 2021.
Born in Youngstown, he was a resident of Stow since 2018. Don retired from the USPS as a postal carrier after 31 years. He was a member of Highway Tabernacle Church for almost 60 years. Don enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, singing in the church choir, and reading.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mary (Anderson) Jones; his children, John, James, and Linda Jones; sisters, Marian (Van Kirk) LaVana, Dora Turek; brothers, Nelson, Dick, and William Jones; and great-granddaughter, Rosie Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean (Griffiths) Jones; sister, DeeDee Turek; brothers, Paul and Bob Jones; daughter, Donnajean (Rod) Redeker; son, David (Ruthie) Jones; and grandchildren, Geoffrey Redeker, Ashley (James) Landers, Tyler, Spencer (Sasha), Emily, Felicia, Aaron, and Lucy Jones; and great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jerrica, Jared, Joshua, Joseph and Julia Landers; Zachary Redeker, Melody and Luka Jones.
Pastor Duane Bull will conduct the service at 2:15 PM, Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Highway Tabernacle, 3000 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, OH 44515. Friends may call at the church from 1 PM to 2 PM prior to the Saturday service.
