Donna S. Schadl, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 6, 2011.
Born in Akron, she was a lifetime area resident and had worked at BF Goodrich during World War II. Donna was then employed with Goodyear Bank, the Goodyear Travel Bureau, Chima Travel and The Travel Bag in Stow. Donna was also a longtime member of The Chapel, where she served with the visitation ministry.
Preceded in death by John, her husband of 72 years in 2010, she is survived by son Michael (Dottie) of Medina Co.; daughter Jill (Ken) Saeger of Louisville; grandchildren Suzanne, Jon and Tom Schadl, Kevin and Mark Saeger, Phil, Amy and Tammy and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Senior Independence Hospice and their staff members Ethel, Heather, Colleen, Bob , Linda and Luanne for their compassionate care of Donna.
Pastor Bob Linsz will conduct service Tuesday 12 noon at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends are invited for visitation from 10 AM until service time. Burial Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Senior Independence Hospice, 1815 W. Market St., Suite 303, Akron 44313.
