Dorothy J. Franko

Dorothy J. (Dottie) Franko, (nee Whetsel) was born April 4, 1922 in Mt. Pleasant, PA. and died April 23, 2011. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Clarence and Ida Whetsel, husband Joseph Franko, Jr., brothers Raymond Whetsel, Clyde Whetsel and sister Juanita Neiderhiser.

Surviving Dottie are brothers Carl (Virginia) of Largo, FL., Alvin of Cuyahoga Falls, Clarence (Mae) of Silver Lake, Larry (Jean) of Cuyahoga Falls and sister Eleen Trout of Rockville, MD. Also she leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a bookkeeper for a number of auto dealers and title companies in the Akron area. She retired to Largo, FL in 1988 where she enjoyed an active life. She recently returned to the Akron area.

There will be no calling hours. Memorial service to be held at a later date.
