STOW - Dorothy R. Johnson, 92, died April 22, 2010.
Born in Kenmore, she was active in Rainbow Girls and Order of Eastern Star, Fernleaf Chapter and a volunteer at Akron Children's Hospital and Akron City Hospital. Dorothy was a member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church and was employed by Akron Savings and Loan.
Preceded in death by her husband Jeremiah in 2009 and brothers John and Phil Gale, she is survived by sons David of Akron and Jim of Hartsville, SC; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and special friends Dick and Julie Smith, Hannah Paulin, Bonnie Devine and Martha Merletti.
Pastor Brian Nutt will conduct service Monday 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour prior to service time. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, 2406 Ardwell Avenue, Akron, 44312.
