STOW - Dorothy L. Treptow was born in Milwaukee, WI, on March 7, 1932, and passed away on October 13, 2022, at 90 ½ years young, (she never considered herself “old!”) She was the daughter of William and Edna Jones (deceased). She was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate of 71 ½ years, Elmer (Gene) Treptow in 2020.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Doreen and Tom Paulus of Stow, her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Jackie Treptow, of Lake Milton, and five grandchildren, Cindy and Jeff Bosley, Tommy and Nicki Treptow, Tim and Mary Treptow, Tammy and Mark Svenson, and Dan Paulus. Also surviving are nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Sandy Jones, of Oconomowoc, WI, and brother-in-law, Ron Treptow, of Muskego, WI, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends, but most importantly, by her dear “Princess,” her 5-lb. chihuahua!

Dorothy was a stay-at-home mom who was involved with her children and all their activities. She served as PTA president, Girl Scout leader, and advisors to the church youth group along with her husband. She was a long-time member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. Most of all, she supported her husband with his job and several moves that took them from Milwaukee to Detroit, to Cleveland, St. Louis, Boston, and New York City, before returning to Ohio to be with their children and grandchildren in 1986.

Funeral services are planned for Monday, October 24, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 2121 Sixth Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, with calling hours from 10 - 11 AM and service immediately following. Livestreaming of the funeral services may be seen at https://youtu.be/Fb8-NNtiE80

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated for St. Luke’s Lutheran Church or The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank , 350 Opportunity Parkway, Akron, OH 44307-2234.
