STOW - Earl J. Blakley, 95, died May 16, 2022.
Born in Cuyahoga Falls, Earl was a longtime Stow resident, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Cornerstone Community Church. Known by many of his friends as “The Earl of Stow”, he loved the Lord with all his heart, his wife, cars, cars, and more cars. His career as an auto body man, for many years at Jones Buick in Cuyahoga Falls and ending with Alexander Body in Akron, carried over to become a life-long hobby. Earl built many beautiful cars, finishing his last one when he was 90 years old. He also helped many of his friends build their cars.
Preceded in death by his son, Scott; granddaughter, Ashley, and grandson, Ricky, he is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jessie; daughter, Toni (Jim) Lehman; son, Jay; daughter, Dawn; granddaughter, Stacie; grandson, John, and multiple great-grandchildren.
Pastor Dan Page will conduct service Friday 1 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, where friends may call from 12 noon until service time. Burial Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
