Hudson - Earl James Watson, 84, died November 6, 2022. Born in Port Huron, Michigan, he has been a resident of Hudson since 1985. Earl was an honored and distinguished U.S. Navy veteran and had been an active member of his hometown church. He spent his latter career as Executive Director of the Hudson Chamber of Commerce and his retirement years were dedicated to serving his community in such roles as Guardian ad Litem and school bus driver. He loved to find ways to make others smile. His hobbies included photography, big band music, tinkering with his truck, target shooting, and spending time with his family. There was never a dull moment when he was around, whether fishing with his grandkids, watching football, and NASCAR, and most especially during family game nights when the Euchre cards came out! He is preceded in death by his parents, Park and Mary Watson; he is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judith; sons EJ (Sharon) and Paul (Fely); grandchildren Margaret, Josh, and Paul. Pastor Tim Marrero will conduct a memorial service at The Chapel, located at 135 Fir Hill, Akron, Ohio 44304, on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at 11:00 AM, in the Memorial Chapel. The family will begin welcoming guests at 10:00 AM. A luncheon will be held immediately following the ceremony at the church.
