STOW - Edward James Coseo, 94, passed away at home in Stow, Ohio, on February 27, 2023. His funeral service will be held Friday, March 10, at 1 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road in Stow, Ohio. Visitation will be held at the church from 12 PM - 1 PM prior to mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his wife's name, Loretta, to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor #17, Chicago, IL 60601. Ed was born on March 14, 1928, in Watertown, New York, to Harold R. and Cora Wiley Coseo. He graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy in 1948, where he met his sweetheart and future wife, Loretta Alice Nickerson. Ed and Loretta married on July 10, 1948, and together raised six children. Edward served in the United States Navy during WWII from 1945-1946, and had a long career as a mechanical engineer, retiring in 1993 from Cornwall Tools in Wadsworth, Ohio. Ed was heavily involved in the Catholic Church and was an active member of the Holy Family Catholic Church for over thirty years. He was a family man that enjoyed fishing, designing, building, and being outdoors. He was also quite a jokester and could often be heard whistling and singing old-time songs. Mr. Coseo is survived by his children, Donna, David (Cindy), Darrel (Annette), Duane (Melanie), and Diane (Shannon); grandchildren, Jonathan, Julie, Olivia, Tara, Jeremy, Michael, Aaron, Alicia, Carlie, Hansen, Jacob, and Erika; and great grandchildren, Hayden, Madeline, Billy, Cody, Michael, II, Darlene, Jayden, Brian, Nora, Clara, Nash, Vayda, Emmett, and Everly. He is also survived by his siblings, Thomas, and his wife, Sue Coseo, sister, Janet, and sister, Veronica. Mr. Coseo is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Loretta; son, Dennis; great grandson, Jameson, and siblings, Paul Joseph Coseo, Francis Coseo, and Richard Coseo.
