Edwin Slusser Hibbard

November 29, 1937 — July 8, 2023

BOULDER CITY, NV - Edwin Slusser Hibbard, 85, passed away July 8, 2023.

Born in Stow, he was a graduate of Stow High School and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, for whom he played football. Ed had been a resident of Boulder City, NV, since 2013. He had been the owner/operator of his own trucking business, retiring in 2013. Ed was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading the Bible.

Preceded in death by his wife, Janice Hibbard, and parents, Clara and Lorin Hibbard. He is survived by his daughter, Christie Hibbard-Andrew; son, John Hibbard; stepdaughter, Janine (Brian) LaRocque; stepson, Donald Ovestrud; granddaughters, Isabelle Andrew and Kayleigh LaRocque; grandson, Donnie Ovestrud; sisters, Katie (Jerry) Apel, Lorene Hibbard; brother, Don (Geri) Hibbard; niece, Kim Maurice; nephews, Mike (Diane), Mark (Trish), and Greg Hibbard; six great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pastor Jim Colledge will conduct a memorial service, 5 PM, Friday, August 11, 2023, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call 3 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation , 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
