STOW- Ella Sue (Carson) Carr, 77, died April 26, 2010.
Born in Galax, VA, Sue moved to Akron in 1943, graduated from Garfield High School in 1951, where she was elected Homecoming Queen, and moved to Stow in 1963. Sue had been employed at Firestone Tire and Rubber and Stow Pharmacy, and was a member of Lakeview Christian Church.
Preceded in death by her husband of 38 years William Gene Carr and brother Warren Carson, she is survived by her daughters Christine (Paul) Padrutt , Cynthia Carr, and Julie (Thomas) Molnar; grandchildren Courtney, Curtis, Beth, Abbey and Lindsey; great-grandsons Nicholas and Nathan; sister Berniece Lantz; brother James (Linda) Carson; sister-in-law Mary Lou Carson and many nieces, nephews and friends. Also surviving Sue are her close friends from Club '51, with whom she enjoyed spending time over the years.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Acute Palliative Care Unit at City Hospital for their wonderful care of Sue.
Friends may callWednesday 4 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where Pastor Darryl Moulder will conduct service Thursday 11 AM. Burial Greenlawn Cemetery.
