Ella Mae Coughenour

Ella Mae Coughenour (Platt), 97, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021. She was born in Somerset, PA and the last of the living children, of the five, of Jacob and Elsie Platt. Surviving are her loving daughter Bonnie Eckley; grandson Scot Vaughan; great-grandsons, Tyler and Justin Vaughan; step-grandchildren, Karen (Darryl) Demeter and David (Debbie) Eckley; many nieces and nephews; special friend Vera, and her favorite Scottie, Jeannie. She loved sewing, crocheting, dancing with the Senior Strutters and time spent in Siesta Key. She worked for Singer Sewing Machine, Co. for over 40 years and then American Greetings. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Thursday 6 to 8 PM. Private burial and graveside services will be held Friday at Oakwood Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials can be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 2121 6th Street, Cuyahoga Falls 44221 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 70 W. Streetsboro Street, Suite #201, Hudson 44236.
