STOW - Emil Gross, 91, was called home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2012.
A lifetime area resident, he proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of Acker-Moore Memorial Post 4738 and loved woodworking and building wooden toys.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Rosa; sons Richard Gross of Stow and David (Janet) Gross of Medina; grandchildren Jessica and Nate (Nakia); sister Irene Uller of California and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother John.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Tuesday 6 to 8 PM, where funeral service will be held Wednesday 1 PM, with military honors provided by Charles Faust Post 281. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to www.navymemorial.org.
