Emily Lyon Hennen

STOW - Emily Lyon Lutz Hennen, 85, passed away July 10, 2021, at Vitalia Stow.

Born in Scottdale, PA, she was a long-time resident of the Stow/Falls area. Emily was a graduate of Mount Union University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She had been employed with Kent Roosevelt High School as a math teacher, retiring in 1996. Emily was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls and was also active in the Women's City Club of Cuyahoga Falls. She loved playing Duplicate Bridge and earned her Life Masters. She enjoyed needlepoint, creating latch hook rugs, traveling with her husband, and playing games with family and friends.

Preceded in death by parents, Rev. James and Martha Lutz; brothers, John, Roger Lutz; sister, Martha Unger, she is survived by her husband of 61 years, Philip Hennen; sons, Bill (Jill), Jim Hennen; daughter, Debby (Ted) Stumphauzer; grandchildren, Jessica, Josh Hennen, Alex (Rachel), Stephany Stumphauzer.

Pastor Michael Ward will conduct service 1:00 PM Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Friends may call 4 to 7 PM Friday at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224.
