Evelyn Dick

Evelyn L. Dick, 90, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on April 3, 2011. She was much loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed. The loving wife of Harold for 70 years, Evelyn was also the devoted and cherished mother of Karen Werstak (Bruce), Britta Brelo (Bill) and Jeanne Bernier (John). She adored her five grandchildren: Bruce Werstak III (Alice), Kristen Wagner (Tod), Eric Bernier (Kim), Heather Brelo, Brad Brelo (Meredith) and her eight great-grandchildren: Caroline, Nicole and Camila Werstak, Evan and Nate Wagner, Ryan, Jacob and Katelyn Bernier. Evelyn lived most recently at Independence Village in Aurora, but resided in Cleveland most of her adult life, and retired from General Electric Nela Park in 1981. She and Harold enjoyed 26 years of retirement in Florida. She was a faithful member of Maplegrove Alliance Church for many years. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Lisle and Viola Shank and only brother Berdyne. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 9th at Parkside Church, 7100 Pettibone Road, Bainbridge, where family will receive friends from 11 AM until 12:30 PM. Memorial service following at 12:30 PM, with Pastor Alistair Begg officiating. Private burial will be held Monday in Pennsylvania.
