STOW - Frances (Fran) Waybright was born in Yolyn, West Virginia on November 15, 1941, and passed away in the loving company of her family on February 9, 2023.
Fran is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald Waybright; her daughter, Vickie Dowling (Frank); grandchildren, Danielle Strunk (Daniel) and Kristin Dowling (Dan Sexton); and great grandchildren, Makayla and Caleb Strunk. She is also survived by Luther Waybright, William Waybright (Marilyn), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank C. Mullins and Eunice Hager, as well as her sister, Brenda Payne.
Fran came to Akron in 1959, and shortly thereafter met her husband, Don, on a blind date. They were married 62 years and resided in Stow. She retired from Acme Fresh Market where she worked in the office at the Bailey Road store. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed volunteering with the Friends of the Stow-Munroe Falls Library.
The joy of her life was being in service to her family and friends. She loved dinners, holidays, babysitting her great grandchildren, or just spending time with us. Her love language was “giving” and always had a wide variety of home-made cookies and pumpkin rolls waiting for company, gifts . . . or bribes.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11 AM, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, where friends may call from 10 AM until time of service. Burial Silver Springs Cemetery.
