STOW - Friedrich (Fred/Fritz) J. Steinlechner, 94, passed away at his home February 21, 2024.

Born in Salzburg, Austria, Friedrich was a resident of Stow for over 60 years. He had been employed with Terex as a Field Representative, retiring in 1989. After retirement, Friedrich ran a small earth moving equipment transmission business, and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and working in his yard.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Elisabeth (Furst). He is survived by his children, Gerhard "Gary" (Teresa) Steinlechner of Brimfield, Veronika (John) Metcalfe of Massachusetts, and Roland (Kathy) Steinlechner of Stow; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 726 S. Cleveland Avenue, Mogadore, Ohio, where the family will receive friends starting at 1:00 PM, with a small memorial at 2:00 PM followed by a light repast.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to Crossroads Hospice, for all the care the staff rendered for their dad during his time at home on hospice care.
