AKRON - George A. "Geo" Jensen, II, born on February 9, 1983, in Akron, Ohio, tragically passed away on May 17, 2023, in Norton, Ohio, due to a senseless act of gun violence. Geo's life was cut short, leaving behind a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Geo was married to his beloved wife, Allison, on October 3, 2009. He cherished their relationship and the bond they shared. Geo is survived by his loving parents, George Jensen, Sr. and Susan Jensen; with two siblings, Tony (35), and his wife, Katy (34); and his sister, Emma (32), his amazingly supportive grandmother, Grace, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. His closest companion and best friend since childhood was Scott, who had been by Geo's side since they were just nine years old.
Geo's early years were spent in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, where he developed a deep fascination with computers. As the digital transformation unfolded in the 1990s, Geo fully embraced it, finding immense joy in every aspect of the evolving technological landscape. Additionally, he cherished the time spent on the water with his family, sailing their Hobie Cat sailboat.
Throughout his professional life, Geo dedicated himself to the field of IT. In 2022, he accepted a position as a Senior Systems Engineer at ECS Tuning, based in Wadsworth, Ohio. Technology remained Geo's passion, and he was particularly fond of live music shows, often attending them alongside his loving wife, Allison. Furthermore, Geo's mechanical prowess allowed him to indulge his love for cars, becoming quite the automobile enthusiast.
Known for his kind and generous nature, Geo frequently volunteered his time to assist others with their technology or car-related issues. He was always eager to share his knowledge and lend a helping hand. As he witnessed the increasing prevalence of gun violence in schools and society, Geo became deeply concerned about the issue.
An analytical thinker and a problem solver at heart, Geo thrived when working with teams to solve complex issues. He was always tinkering with electronic projects, constantly pushing the boundaries of his knowledge and skills.
Geo's impact extended beyond his immediate family and friends. He took on the role of a professional uncle to Scott's children, who will deeply miss him and his love for music. Geo enjoyed sharing life experiences and creating cherished memories with them.
