Georgina L. Holcroft

MUNROE FALLS - Georgina L. Holcroft, 80, passed away peacefully January 13, 2024.

She was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, before moving to Ohio in 1960. She became a U.S. Citizen in 1985. She was a resident of Stow-Munroe Falls for 60 years. When first settling in Stow, she was a teacher’s aide at Echo Hills Elementary School while raising her children. Georgie then became employed with Mactac as a lab technician, retiring in 2008, with 18 years of service.

When in a group and her name was mentioned, there was always someone commenting on “what a sweet lady your mom is.” She never met someone that she didn’t like, which was her special gift of always seeing the good in people. She enjoyed playing BINGO, going to casinos, reading, the outdoors and spending time with her family and many longtime friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, Gary Holcroft, and her parents, Garnet and Evelyn McClelland. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Rodney) Landers and Stephanie Tyger; son, Steve (Tracy) Holcroft; grandchildren, Kayla (Billy), Jeremy (Ashley), Justin, Ryan, Brittany, Ashley, Marissa, and Mitchell; great-grandchildren, William, Anthony, Alivia, Lucas, and Addison; sister, Eleanor Haywood; brother, Charles (Suzanne) McClelland, as well as many nieces, and a nephew, all of British Columbia, Canada.

Pastor Dan Page will conduct service, 7 PM, Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224, where friends may call, Thursday, 5 PM, until service time.
