Harriet Habeck

d. February 1, 2021

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Harriet L. Habeck (nee Phillips), passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday February 1, 2021. Harriet was born on September 2, 1924, and grew up in Goodyear Heights, Akron, Ohio. She met and married her husband, Bruce W. Habeck, while both worked at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. They soon moved to Cuyahoga Falls where they raised their twelve children. Harriet spent her life devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her unwavering devotion to her Lord and Savior will be an inspiration to her family for the rest of their lives. Harriet spent every day of her life praying for every member of her extended family. When her children walked in the door from school and smelled fresh, homemade bread, they knew they were home. Harriet made everything from scratch. After she sent her kids off to school in the morning, she planned lunch and dinner, did the laundry and kept an immaculate home. Harriet made amazing chicken soup from scratch including the noodles. Dinner always ended with a homemade pie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanton and Carrie Phillips (nee Cofer); husband, Bruce; son Paul; siblings Stanton, Robert (Bob) and Mary Porter. Our much beloved Mom, Grandma and Grammy will be incredibly missed by her eleven remaining children, Nancy (Tom) Kever, Lydia (Mark) Shiozaki, Libby, Bruce, Tim (Kim), Debbie (Rusty) Cocain, Bill, Mary, Amy (Mike) Waid, Renee (Pierre) Pauze, and Joy (Jim) Meszaros; twenty seven grandchildren and thirty nine great-grandchildren. Her first great-great grandchild is due shortly. Calling hours will be Friday, February 5th, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Redmon Funeral Home in Stow, followed by a memorial service at 1:00. All are welcome to attend. Interment immediately following at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls.
