STOW - Jack R. Holt, 91, died March 13, 2025.
Born in Doylestown, OH, he was a resident of Stow since 1967, a proud U.S. Army veteran, and had been employed as a production supervisor with Goodyear - Stow Mold Plant. Following retirement, he worked as a handyman throughout Stow and Silver Lake and became a valued problem solver to all that he served.
Golf was Jack's passion. He played in multiple golf leagues at Fox Den Golf Course in Stow and Mayfair Country Club in Green. He passed his love of golf onto his sons and his grandson and would golf anytime he could with them He continued playing through his eighties, often playing 18 holes. When he was not on the golf course, he was often found watching his grandchildren pursuing their passions. He was a great support to all who knew him.
Jack was also a past member of the United Methodist Church in Stow, serving and volunteering in several capacities.
Jack was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 56 years, JoAnn.
Preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn (Mears), and parents, George C. and Vera (Repp) Holt, he is survived by sons, Dale (Cindy) and Doug (Diane) Holt; grandchildren, George, Griffin, Ian (Charlie), and Olivia.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the friends and neighbors of Woodbury Oval in Stow for their care and support during Jack's last years. He loved living amongst you. Also, many thanks to the caregivers at Mulberry Gardens Senior Living and SouthernCare Hospice.
Funeral service will be held at 10 AM, on Friday March 21, 2025, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, where friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 PM.
Private burial will be held at Stow Cemetery, with military honors provided by the U.S. Army.
