CUYAHOGA FALLS - Jack O. McClure, 98, passed away on March 22, 2023, at home with his family in attendance. He was a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls. Jack is a veteran of World War II. For his service in the Battle of the Bulge and other European engagements, he earned the Good Conduct Medal, the Meritorious Unit Badge, the American Campaign Medal, the European and African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, with three Bronze Stars. He served honorably in the Army, achieving the rank of Corporal. Jack then worked for Goodyear as a mechanic until his retirement at the age of 64. He was a skilled craftsman and carpenter, and together with the love of his life, Evelyn, to whom he was married for 68 years, he built the home where they raised their four children and made memories with their many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his later years, he enjoyed caring for his lawn, watching old western movies, and his weekly breakfasts with lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; his parents, O'Connell and Alicia; two sisters, Patty and Mary Jane; brother, Richard, and his grandson, Ryan. Jack is survived by his daughters, Cathy and Rebecca; his sons, John (Maria) and Kelly (Robyn); twelve grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Friends may visit at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224 on Monday, from 12 PM to 2 PM. Burial at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 4724 State Road, Peninsula, 44264 will follow.
