James L. Davey

SILVER LAKE - James L. Davey, 86, died January 9, 2024.

Born in Barberton, he was a lifetime area resident, had retired from Ford Motor Company after 44 years of service, and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Mr. Davey collected model trains and was a railroad and train buff. He also enjoyed antique cars, auctions, and was a cat lover.

Preceded in death by his siblings, Robert, Evelyn, and Pam Allison, he is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joanne; children, Debra (Keith) Perkins, Timothy Davey, and Frank (Julie Coffman) Davey; granddaughters, Beth Perkins, Heather (Jordan) Virzi, and Brittany (Matthew) Kaczmarczyk; great-grandchildren, Erik (Mileena), Brooklynn, Adrianna, Logan, Gracie, and Bryson, and great-great-grandchild, Arura.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 1 PM, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2141 Fifth Street, Cuyahoga Falls 44221, where friends may call from 12 Noon until service time. Private entombment Rose Hill Burial Park.
