STOW - James Eugene Lisic, 84, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024. Born in Akron, James spent the majority of his life living in the surrounding communities of Akron before retiring to North Ft. Myers and Tampa, FL areas, with his final retirement returning to Stow, OH, to be close to family in 2009. James was a U.S. Air Force veteran where he worked on radio and radar systems. Post service, James became employed with National Cash Register (NCR), along with his twin brother, as a field engineer, retiring in 1994. He was a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church. James was an unintentional adventurer and typically his family and friends were subject to explorations and “short-cuts” that he found himself on. James also enjoyed golfing, bowling, technology, researching various current events, ice cream and above all, spending time with his wife, family and friends. James was a comedian at heart, patient, gentle and kind, and will be missed dearly. We will continue to recount, and hold close the great memories he blessed us with. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Anne Lisic, he is survived by his loving, patient and caring bride of 57 years, Cathy Lisic (Amick); son, Robert (Debbie) Lisic; grandchildren, Jacob Lisic and Rachel Lisic; identical twin brother, John (Lyne) Lisic; sister, Frances (Bud) Seabeck, and several nieces and nephews. Fr. Peter Colletti will conduct service 12 PM, Friday, July 26, 2024, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224.
