Jean Rae (Griffiths) Jones

YOUNGSTOWN - Jean Rae (Griffiths) Jones, 94, died March 4, 2022.

Born in Youngstown, she was a resident of Stow since 2018. Jean retired from the Youngstown City Schools as a Librarian after 38 years. She was a member of Highway Tabernacle Church for over 70 years. Jean graduated from The Rayen School in 1946. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her family, and her friends. She enjoyed serving and sharing her love for Jesus with others, playing board games, and baking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Fanny (Thomas) Griffiths; husband, Don; children, John, James, and Linda Jones; brother, Allen; half-sister, Judith Follmeyer, and great-granddaughter, Rosie Jones.

Left to cherish her memory are step sister, Nancy Stark; daughter, Donnajean (Rod) Redeker; son, David (Ruthie) Jones; grandchildren, Geoffrey Redeker, Ashley (James) Landers, Tyler, Spencer (Sasha), Emily, Felicia, Aaron, and Lucy Jones; and great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jerrica, Jared, Joshua, Joseph, and Julia Landers; Zachary Redeker; Melody, Luka, and Spencer Jones, Jr.

Pastor Duane Bull will conduct a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Highway Tabernacle Fellowship Hall, 3000 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, OH 44515. Friends may call at the church from 1 PM to 2 PM prior to the service.
