Jeannette Mary (Shilliday) Burley

MUNROE FALLS - Jeannette Burley, 82, formerly of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully March 26, 2010. Born Sept. 20, 1927 in Edinburg, daughter of Wells and Mary (Phillips) Shilliday, she graduated from Edinburg High School and attended Hiram College. She was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church and an active member of the J.O.Y. Group.

Preceded in death by parents, husband of 50 years Jason (Jay), son Dennis, brother Park Shilliday and sister Ernestine Gibson, she is survived by children William (Lynn) Burley of Conway, AR; Kathleen (Victor) Elsey of Santa Barbara, CA; Richard (Rebecca McDaniel) Burley of West Lafayette, IN; Deborah (Douglas) Berkey of Munroe Falls; grandchildren Stephanie (Steve) Albright of Columbus; William (Anna) Burley of Dubai, UAE; Elizabeth, Lucas and Emma Burley of West Lafayette, IN; Heather (Chris) Lapinsky of Morgantown, WV; Jessica Berkey of Greenville, SC and Sarah Berkey of Shalersville, and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 12 PM on Wednesday, March 31st at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 3725 Kent Rd., Stow, where family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Private interment Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen Lutheran Church.
