Jeffrey (Jeff) Allen Vest

STOW - Jeffrey Allen Vest, 69, passed away at home on November 10, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. In his final days, Jeff was surrounded by family and loved tremendously. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Jeff was born on January 13, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he grew up with his parents and brother. In his younger days, he spent summers camping and boating; modified and raced cars; and played guitar in a band. Jeff graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati. After getting married in 1983, he had two daughters and later relocated to Stow, OH, with his family, he enjoyed camping, gardening, and quality time.

Jeff retired in 2020 after working at Mattress Warehouse, hhgregg, and Lowe's, in sales and managerial roles. Providing for his family was important to him and he did so diligently.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Helen and Earl Vest. To carry on his memory, he leaves behind his caring wife, Lori (Kohut) Vest; daughters, Jessica (Vest) Starcher (married to Matthew) and Jennifer Vest-Brewer (married to Seth); grandson, Jasper Starcher; brother, Phil Vest; several brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, and extended family; plus, his cuddly kitty, Bosco.

His presence, sarcasm, quick wit, love of music, attention to detail, and friendly fatherly reminders will be sorely missed every day of our lives. Enjoy a camping trip, light a campfire, or spend a day on the lake in his memory. We love you.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Holy Family Parish, 3179 Kent Road, Stow, OH 44224, on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 1:30 - 4:00 PM, in Room #1. All friends, family, and acquaintances are invited to remember Jeff and join family in celebrating his life.
